As an affiliate marketer, it’s important to know that traffic is an important aspect and what traffic sources are available to you.Traffic is how you get potential customers to come to your website, landing page, or link.

How do I get more traffic?   Marketing, silly head. There are two ways of marketing to get traffic to your offer. Paid and Free.

In comparison to paid traffic, free traffic will require more work. If you’re like most beginners, the initial investment funds are slim. So without money to invest you are trading your time for the free traffic.

FREE TRAFFIC

Blogging – Blogs – Forums – SEO – Email – Social Bookmarking – Videos – Webinars – Social Networks – Word of Mouth – Referral Links

Just to name a few.  I would like to touch on the areas the big boys in affiliate marketing use more often than not; That are free.

  1. Content Marketing

You become an expert in your niche, attract the people(traffic) by creating valuable content, and build a big following.

    2.   SEO Search Engine Optimization

The process to get your site, offer, etc. ranked higher in search results

   3.   Social Traffic

Pintrest – Facebook – YouTube – Instagram Allows you to tailor your offers towards a specific audience.

Content Marketing

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive paying customer action.

There are three key reasons — and benefits — for affiliate marketers that use content marketing: cost savings, increased sales, and loyal customers

Think of content marketing as being educational and not promotional.

SEO

The process to get traffic from free and organic search results on search engines, i.e. Google, Bing, Yahoo

All search engines have primary search results, where content is ranked according to what the search engine considers relevant to the user. Search engines want to provide the best service for their users. This means the top results on the search engine pages are not only high quality but also relevant to what the searcher is looking for.

Social Traffic

Social traffic refers to traffic coming to your website or offer  from social networks and social media platforms.

Social Media has the ability to be a major source of traffic to your site. The larger presence you build on social media, the more you can rely on steady traffic.

Join forums, at least two. Post genuine answers and be subtle when introducing your offers and links.

Answer questions in blogs pertaining to your niche. Ask about your product in a round about way. What do you think of (your site), (your link), (your offer)

Join Facebook groups pertaining to your niche. Ask questions and post. Increasing your social media traffic happens when you engage and build relationships.

FYI:  With this being a digital information age, there are several software programs that are automated and will handle most of the work for you.

If you would like more info on some the different software, please drop a line and I will blog right on it.
